The Problem

Vehicles, cities, and other transportation systems are becoming increasingly connected. The wealth of data they generate can be used to develop new business models, improve customer experiences, and provide better access to mobility. However, the scale and complexity of mobility data make it difficult to rapidly build applications and services. Moreover, each player in the mobility ecosystem harnesses, collects, and provides access to data in a unique way. In this challenging landscape, how can we make it easy to harness mobility data?

Their Solution

A local team of data experts had an idea: bridge the gaps in connected vehicle infrastructure by building cloud-based data science and data engineering tools for mobility data analytics. This would allow mobility experts to focus on their products and consumers, instead of data wrangling. Working with the 99P Labs team, they launched Mobikit, a data science toolkit that data practitioners can use to visualize and analyze mobility data in a whole new way.
