Make ohi/o 2026

The event brought together more than 250 students at The Ohio State University for a weekend of hands-on hardware and software prototyping. As industry mentors, we challenged teams to explore how AI agents could improve public transportation on campus, with a focus on smarter decisions, physical interfaces, accessibility, and sustainability.

Student teams responded with creative working concepts, from intelligent bus stop kiosks and live seat-capacity systems to computer vision tools for demand monitoring and route optimization. Their projects showed how AI, real-time data, and hardware can come together to make transit more responsive, inclusive, and efficient.
